Tatul (shrine)
Tattoo is a rock-cult complex near the village Tattoo, (Municipality of Momchilgrad), called by the local population Kayabashi (from Turkish: Stone head).
This is a prehistoric cult site, on whose territory is located one of the most puzzling megalithic monuments on the territory of Bulgaria - a sarcophagus in the shape of a truncated pyramid, which has no analogue among the many megalithic monuments registered by archaeologists on the territory of Bulgaria and around the world. This is the best preserved temple a complex cut into a monolithic rock.[1]

Perperikon
Butterfly, called and Perperikon, is an early historical, ancient and medieval stone complex in Eastern Rhodopes, in the territory of Bulgaria, consisting of a large megalithic sanctuary from the VI - V millennium BC, monuments from antiquity and medieval fortress. It is believed that at the Thracians, Perperek is a sacred rock city, capital and fortress with a royal palace. Later they lived here Romans, goth, Romans and Bulgarians.

Kayabashi fortress
The Thracian fortress is located in the area "Kayabash"/"Stone Head", 1.65 km northwest in a straight line from the village of Oreshari. It is built at the end of a rocky plateau with steep western, northwestern and northeastern slopes. The most convenient access to the fortification is from the southeast along the flat ridge of the hill. There is also access to the fortress from the south despite the steep slope.

Rock niches in the "Kovan kaya" massif
Kovan kaya (translated from the local Turkish dialect, the name means The Bee Rock) is a prehistoric cult complex, which in later eras was reused by the ancient Thracians, located south of the village Dolno Cherkovishte in Eastern Rhodopes.
The place is announced for natural landmark in 1972. The complex is located in the area of the middle course of the river Arda, in the lands of the villages Beekeepers and Dolno Cherkovishte. The area where the complex is located is rich in archaeological sites - nearby is the Thracian sanctuary of Aul Kaya, as well as other prehistoric sites such as Hambar Kaya, Beygir Kaya and the cult complexes in the village lands Nuts and Beekeepers.[1]

Fortress Monek
It is important to start the ascent early in the morning. For the summer, it is recommended that this be done no later than 8:00 a.m. or in the evening after 6:00 p.m. The departure is from the town of Kardzhali in the direction of the village of Shiroko Pole - there is a sign for the detour to the fortress itself. There is also a trek on foot, most of the time being outdoors and in the sun, so it is good to time your visit with the heat during the day.

A stone wedding
The natural phenomenon is located near the town of Kardzhali, 5 kilometers in the direction of the village of Zimzelen. Stone mushrooms
The natural phenomenon is located about 30 km away. from the town of Kardzhali and about 10 km. from the Perperikon Archaeological Complex and this is a good opportunity to see the two sites together. The place can be reached by car. The rock formations are located east of the village of Beli Plast, next to the road connecting Kardzhali with Haskovo. However, the pavement is good and it is not a problem to visit.

Meander of the Arda river near the village of Star
The most photographed meander of the Arda River is located in
direction Kardjali - Ardino - set the navigation for the village of Star

Devil's Bridge
The distance from
Kardzhali to Ardino is about 40 kilometers. In himself

signposts for the Devil's Bridge. It's the way

Shaitan dere
Also known as the Devil's Canyon, it is a canyon located along the Arda River, immediately after the wall of the Cold Well dam, near the village of Rabovo. The steep cliffs, the result of solidified volcanic lava of the nearby, long-extinct volcano "St. Ilia", form a characteristic gorge, unique to Bulgaria.

Rope bridge near the village of Lisitsite
Go down to
Shiroko Pole village and ask the locals for the way to the longest
rope bridge in Bulgaria. The section of the road outside the village is not
paved, so you have to park your car on the side
on the road and continue on foot. The walk is about 20 minutes,
with views of the rocky spurs of the hill to the right,
on which the impregnable fortress "Monyak" towered.

Temple of the Great Mother Goddess
The cave

Harman kaya

Elmal baba teke v. Bivolyane"
It is located approx
30 km. in the direction of the town of Kardjali - the town of Momchilgrad - the village of Bivolyane. It's called Teke
a ritual complex of buildings, of which a heptagonal temple plays an important role
tomb. It is a temple built on a grave of a respected dignitary
or a sage (dervish) revered by the local Muslim population. This one
a complex of buildings includes an abode of dervishes (sages), a madrasah (girls'
religious school) and two premises, adjacent to each other, in which there are
